The USB LINK SOFTWARE is a PC program working together with the LCD Program Box, it has the following functions: 1） Precisely sets the programmable items of the ESC. 2） Upgrades the firmware of the ESC. 3） Upgrades the firmware of the Professional LCD Program Box. 4） Analyses the 'Governor mode' parameters for RC helicopter. Orca-hr Platform and Release Support For R2020a and higher, you must download the Image Acquisition Toolbox adaptor from Hamamatsu as described in the third-party requirements section on the right side of this page.

The USB-Link™ 2, the next generation vehicle interface from NEXIQ Technologies, has arrived. Dependable and rugged, the new USB-Link™ 2 is five times faster than its predecessor. It has sixteen times more random access memory than the old USB-Link, and it supports heavier bus loads on simultaneous channels.

The Bluetooth module supports wireless communication via an enhanced data rate (500K b/s J1939). For even more reliability, we’ve upgraded the USB connector to a more robust, automotive grade connector with a latching mechanism. The USB-Link 2 is compatible with a wide range of OEM software applications.

The USB-Link™ 2 comes with the following:

* Latching USB Cable (PN 404032)

* 9-Pin Deutsch Adapter, 1 Meter (PN 493128)

* J1962 Adapter (16-Pin OBD II, 1 Meter (PN 493113)

Note: For best results, Class 1 (100 m range) Bluetooth® USB adapters are recommended. Class 1 adapters are recommended because of their greater operating range. See PN 405001 in the list of Accessories below.

The USB-Link™ 2 is also available with Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi Edition: PN 124034

1. Functions

The USB LINK SOFTWARE is a PC program working together with the LCD Program Box, it has the following functions:
1） Precisely sets the programmable items of the ESC.
2） Upgrades the firmware of the ESC.
3） Upgrades the firmware of the Professional LCD Program Box.
4） Analyses the 'Governor mode' parameters for RC helicopter
(This is the function of a subprogram named 'Speed Calculator')

2. USB Link Software is suitable for the following ESC:

XeRun Series Car ESC (Version 2.0/2.1/3.0/3.1 and later)
EZRUN Series Car ESC (Version 2.0 and later)
PLATINUM Series helicopter/airplane ESC
Seaking Pro Series Boat ESC

1. Update for supporting XERUN XR8 Pro G2 ESC.
2. Update for supporting Multifunction LCD Program Box G2.

For Car ESCs:
1. Add first release firmware XR-5.4.03 for XERUN XR8 Pro G2.

NOTE 1:
Some users cannot download the file of “USB LINK SOFTWARE” in the browser, in such a case, please follow the operations below:
1) Move the cursor at the red characters linked to the file.
2) Right click the mouse, select “Save target as...” in the floating menu.
3) Select the suitable file director to save the USB LINK SOFTWARE file in your PC.
NOTE 2:
When installing the USB Link Software in Windows Vista and Windows 7, please follow the operations below:
1) Unpack the RAR file.
2) Right click the 'Hobbywing_USB_Link_******.exe' file, then left click on 'Run as Administrator'.
