Hello,
I recently purchased a new Firestudio Mobile via eBay and am having issues with the headphones jack on the front. Quite frankly, it isn't working. I plug in my Bose headphones into the jack with a 1/4' adapter and no sound comes out of the phones. I'm wondering if there's something I have to enable in order for the jack to work. I've tested it with multiple sets of headphones to no avail, and also tested the 1/4' adapter and same headphones on other devices and had no problems.
I'm sorry that my problem is so vague, as I'm kind of new to audio interfaces. If anyone has any sort of probing questions that could maybe help me solve this problem, ask away. I'll do my best to come up with an answer.
Thanks a lot,
Cam

Is the blue sync light on the device illuminated?

Yes. Everything works except the phones jack, although I have some Blue Screen errors with it occasionally, but I don't think the two are related. It all works fine while it is running, except no sounds out of the jack.

First thing I would do is verify you're routing is seup properly. If you're certain that is correct then you may have a bad headphone port. It isn't impossible to replace yourself but tech support can get you hooked up with a good repair and an extension on your warranty if you send it home. The cost is a flat rate based on the device and will come back to you 100% serviced and ready to roll.

You got any answer/ solusion? I have some problem.
I was guessing, that I have some routingproblem , but I am NOT so familar withthose.Or maybe monitoring funktion in my recording software/ Cubase.
Or alternative, is Headphones out contact broken/destroyed????
But I still gues, that it should have to do with routing.
Let me know if you resolve your problem.

Just so you are aware the headphone output on the FSM is a separate output on its own. So you'll need to set up the headphones as a separate output in your software as well.

It shows upp 10 chanel on output when I switch to PRESONUS (imgae is shown when its PC soundcard activated), and they alla calls somethong likeXXXXXXXX.DAW.
Shall I try to add new?

FSM is FireStudio Mobile.
You should have 6 outputs.
1-2 Main Out (L+R)
3-4 Headphone Out (L+R)
5-6 S/PDIF Out (L+R)
For headphones you'll need to map ouput 3-4 to and output channel in Cubase. I don't know how cubase works though.

My headphone jack was not working either so i thought i would share..
Basically the firestudio tube has 8 analog outs (6 on the back and a stereo headphone jack on the front).
I had sound going thru my interface and after plugging in my phones, was amazed that i couldn't hear anything.
Like the guy above me said you have to route the sound (from logic, cubase etc) to a bus and send it to the headphone out -
which in my case was 'output 7-8' in logic (outputs 1-6 being the rear outs of the interface)
It doesn't appear to be a 'normal' headphone jack where you just plug in and hear it - it is really just a stereo output which you need to route to if you wanna hear something.
Couldn't find anything about this in the manual........

Q: I don't hear anything through the headphones on my Firestudio Mobile.
A: This is because by default, the Firestudio headphone outputs are mirrored on DAW output 3 & 4. Most likely you have your DAW outputs set to output to 1 & 2. This is because the Firestudio Mobile actually allows for a separate headphone mix for performers in your studio. If you are looking to create a separate headphone mix, you would need to bus some your tracks in your DAW software to hardware output 3 & 4.
If you would like to hear your mix exactly as you hear it through your monitors, open the Presonus Universal Control software and click the enable button on the phones bus to the right. This will enable anything going through the Presonus mixer, to go through the headphones. A very powerful tool
That's what solved this problem for me

With the FSM PLUS Universal Control installed, it is simply a matter of starting the UC application and then clicking on the graphic illustration of the FSM (located at the bottom). This will open up the mixer. Then on the right side of the mixer there are 3 sections for Mains, Phones and SPDIF.
If you click on the Activate buttons, this will release control of the section from the DAW and Voila sound from your headphones.
